Here’s the thing: we’re all wired from childhood to recognise certain story types and characters.
So a great starting point is to figure out what kind of character your brand plays in the story.
These characters just resonate deeply, and we don’t even have to think about it to understand what they are all about.
Gandalf, Willy Wonka, Baloo – we really quickly know exactly what they are all about, right?
This recognition is a powerful device in branding – a shortcut that creates an immediate perception of your brand on a deep, subconscious level.
You might not always feel like a hero or a wizard when you’re looking at your to-do list that never ends!
But actually, your brand does have a distinct personality.
Knowing your Brand’s Character will give you clarity in your messaging and creates a shortcut to connection.
Once you know what that character is, everything from your messaging to your visuals starts to click.
