Widening the Reach of your event with an Event Photographer

You know the effort that goes into creating a great event. Months and months of planning…! So you want that effort to have a lasting impact.

Hiring a professional photographer to capture the moments throughout the day can not only bring that day back to life for those who were there – but also can convey your messaging afterwards to those who weren’t able to attend.

So, why choose Lightsmith for capturing great photos of your event?

If you’ve got this far, then you probably like the style of the photos that you see around my site – thanks!

But, the reasons to choose me for your event actually have more to do with me, than the images.

Feedback from clients tells me that I am good at fitting in at an event, a friendly face who can engage with your delegates with ease, whether they are CEOs or window cleaners.

I take great care to work as unobtrustively as possible, and make sure that I capture all of the key moments, yet you may barely notice that I am there.

If you have a video team also capturing your day, I have lots of experience of working with videographers to ensure that we don’t get in each other’s shot or trip each other up!

Specialist in working in tricky lighting conditions.

Indoor events often take place in very much less than ideal lighting for photography, and using a flash is often not an option. And if your event is outdoors, then you need an event photographer who knows how to deal with less than ideal light and weather.

A huge proportion of my commercial branding work needs to be shot in artificial light, or less than ideal conditions outdoors.

Almost all of the shots on this page were taken in what would typically be called rubbish light! So you can be confident that I have lots of experience in working with the conditions we have, and make the best of the available light.

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR YOUR EVENT SHOOT

Prior to the event, we will discuss your requirements in detail. You will provide me with a detailed schedule of events, and can give me a list of ‘must have’ shots or delegates that you need me to capture.

Your day might be long, but I’m happy to work long days and into evenings. My standard day rate (which you can find by clicking the link below) covers up to 8 consecutive hours of shooting with a short break for lunch, so if you require longer than this just get in touch for a bespoke quote.
