A beautiful, timeless record of your love!

What more could you want this Mother’s Day!?

They won’t be able to sit on your knee forever!  Or be willing, for that matter… 🙂

These classic portraits are are relatively quick to capture, but they will result in a piece of art for your home that you really will treasure forever – and so will they…

I'm interested!

I’m only running one afternoon of shoots this year, so book by 1st March to secure your slot

a mother and daughter in a mothers day mini shoot

What is a Mother’s Day Mini Photo Shoot?

These are quick and fun 15 minute sessions which will capture just a handful of classic portraits.

Classic, timeless and treasured!

The session fee includes one matted print ready to pop into a 10 x 8 inch frame, and the matching digital file.

You’ll get a choice of around 5-10 images in an online gallery which will be sent to you on Mother’s Day. I love these in black and white, but you’ll get colour options too.

If you can’t decide on just one, you’ll have the option to purchase more –  or even all of them!

Is a Mother’s Day Mini Photo Shoot with you Right for Me?

These are for people who love connected images with a natural style.

These sessions are quick, so what we get will depend a lot on your child! If they are quick to warm up, and chatty, we will get lots of smiling ones.

If they are a little shy, then we might get one like this – which I actually love almost more… Usually 15 minutes (or a bribe) is enough to get a little bit of a smile from even the most timid! If you click through to the booking page you’ll see this little one did warm up 🙂

I want to give you – and almost more so, your kids – this beautiful record of your motherhood…

When and Where?

This session is happening the Wednesday before Mother’s Day. If demand is high, I can add another day – so drop me a line if you’re interested but can’t make that day.  Book by the first of March to secure your spot!

So get your hints in now * – this is the Mother’s Day gift that beats a box of chocolates hands down (but who knows, you might get both!)

The location will be either Great Kingshill Village Hall, or at my pop up studio space at my home in nearby Cryer’s Hill – depending on the numbers booking.

Either way, you’ll get a cup of tea and a warm welcome.

They are strictly timed so you need to not be late! Come 5 minutes early so that you can relax and have a cuppa before hand.

* hints don’t work; just ask your significant other to book it now before they sell out!

What Should we Wear for our Mother's Day Mini Shoot?

Because these are shot on a black background, you should ideally avoid wearing black. Big patterns and stripes can distract from your face, but subtle stripes and small florals and patterns look great. If you’re bringing the kids straight from school, ideally bring a change for the top half at least as a uniform is not ideal!

Cosy knits, lace and textures are also fab for a natural look. If you like black and white for your print, the colours don’t matter so much. But if you like your photographs in colour, don’t go for anything too bright – muted colours tend to look better and are kinder to your skin! Don’t wear exactly the same colour as your child, but do choose colours that look nice together.

Ideally, do avoid big logos and football gear for the kids – it can take away from that timeless look. But you – and they – need to be comfortable and happy – so really this is just a guide, you should wear what you like!

There will be a mirror there, do make sure faces are clean and hair is the way you want it to look!

What if I have more than one child?

The timings are based on how long it would take to capture beautiful images of you with one child. Two children will take a little longer, so please let me know via the booking form message so I can be ready to work extra quickly!

If the last slot of the day is available when you book, that would be a good choice for 2 kids as we can run over.  Additional images are priced at £25 each when purchased separately.

If you have more than two children, I would suggest booking two adjacent slots.

Can I cancel?

The bookings are non-refundable as I have to hire the hall and cover the costs of that. If something unavoidable happens, do let me know so we can discuss options.

When will I get my print?

There will be a deadline to choose your prints, as I need to order them all together to minimise the delivery charges. This deadline will be about a week after you receive your gallery to view.

The exact date will be communicated when you get your gallery link. The prints will be delivered to you about a week after that.

How much does it cost?

The session fee is £49 for your 15 minute shoot, and it includes one matted print of your choice, ready to pop into a 10×8 frame.

How much if I want more photos?

Often, when I do these minis, people can’t just choose one photo! (Sorry! They are kinda beautiful!)

Additional matted prints are £25 (with a matching digital)

Or, you can opt to buy all of the digitals for £120

This is me – Yvonne Phillips

I’m a local, so you may already know me!

But if not, then here’s my face! I’m a warm and friendly person and great at putting people at ease.  I grew up in Ireland but I’ve been living in the UK since I was 21. So I’ve got a funny mixed up accent.

Mini sessions are quick, so we won’t be able to chat as much as I would on a full session – but there will still be a bit of fun and laughing.

I have two kids so you don’t need to worry about how yours will behave – believe me, I will have seen worse. We only need them to sit still for a few minutes to make a beautiful picture, and I will have bribe lollies at hand.
